Covered patios built for Texas living

Gable and flat covers with brick and stone columns, tongue-&-groove and coffered ceilings, lighting, and TV walls — designed and built by one licensed crew. We handle every HOA and city permit, and many covers are finished in about 6 business days.

Our Approach

A patio cover that feels like part of the house

A good cover does more than block the sun. We frame it with real brick columns, finish the ceiling so it looks intentional from below, and wire it for fans, lights, and TVs from the start — so the space works the day we hand it over and still looks right in ten years. One crew designs it, pulls the permits, and builds it, so the details line up and the pricing stays honest.

Gable roof covers

A pitched, open-beam gable adds height and airflow and lets warm air rise off the patio. We finish the underside in stained tongue-and-groove cedar so the structure reads as a finished room, not a lean-to — ideal when you want a true outdoor living room.

Flat roof covers

A clean, low-profile flat cover ties in neatly under existing rooflines and keeps sightlines open. It's the efficient choice for shade and rain protection, and we still recess the lighting and box in the beams so the ceiling looks built-in rather than tacked on.

Tongue-&-groove & coffered ceilings

The ceiling is the part you look at most. We upgrade flat plywood undersides to tongue-and-groove planking or a coffered, paneled layout, stained to match your home — the detail that quietly makes a cover feel custom instead of contractor-grade.

Brick & stone columns + TV walls

Masonry is where we started, and it's what makes a cover last. We wrap support posts in real brick or stone columns and can build a finished TV wall with electrical run inside it — a solid anchor for the patio that holds up to weather and time.

Why our covers last

Built right, permitted, and finished — not just framed

A patio cover should be engineered for Texas wind and heat, finished down to the lighting, and signed off by the city. We don't leave any of that to chance.

  • Engineered & permitted properly

We pull engineer-backed plans where required and handle every HOA and city permit for you — so your cover is built to code and approved.

  • Quality lumber, stain & real masonry

Solid framing, properly stained tongue-and-groove ceilings, and genuine brick or stone columns — materials chosen to take the heat and last.

  • Electrical, paint & lighting included

Fans, recessed lights, outlets, and final paint are part of the build — many covers finished in about 6 business days, ready to use.

Good To Know

Patio cover questions, answered

Many of our patio covers are finished in about 6 business days once we're on site — including framing, the finished ceiling, electrical, lighting, and final paint. Larger gable builds or projects that add a kitchen or masonry work take a little longer, and we give you a clear timeline with your quote so you know what to expect.

Yes — every one of them. We pull all city permits and handle the HOA paperwork for you, and we provide engineer-backed plans wherever they're required. You don't have to chase a single form. We're licensed and insured, and the cover is built to code and properly inspected.

A flat cover is the clean, efficient choice — it tucks neatly under existing rooflines and keeps sightlines open. A gable adds height, better airflow, and that open-beam, finished-room look. We'll walk your space, look at your home's lines and your budget, and recommend the one that fits best — there's no wrong answer, just the right fit for your backyard.

Solid framing lumber, stained tongue-and-groove or coffered ceilings, and real brick or stone for the columns and walls — masonry is where we started. Everything is chosen to handle Texas heat, sun, and storms, and stained or painted to match your home so the cover looks like it was always part of the house.

Yes. Texas Brick and Masonry is fully licensed and insured, with 15+ years building outdoor spaces across Katy and Greater Houston. Daniel runs every job personally, so the person who quotes your patio is the same one making sure it's built right.
